Taskforce - The final countdown (free download)

Those looking for more hip hop from Bitter Instinct need not worry. Here we have a free download from the mighty Taskforce. Recorded in September 2009 over a dope J-zone beat, this is supposedly the last thing Farma G and Chester have recorded together. No need to fret though as there is news of MFTC 5 dropping this year.
For more current hip hop please don't forget the check the constantly updated 'Top 10 Tracks' on the top left of the page.

Pace Won and Mr. Green - "Can You Hear Me?"

This is the official music video to the Pace Won and Mr. Green song "Can You Hear Me? (A Tribute to the People of Tunisia)."

Following the recent unrest in Tunisia and Egypt it was only a matter of time before the hip hop world made their thoughts known. This video gives a heartfelt and powerful insight into the plight of the Tunisian protester. THIS IS REAL MUSIC.

Slept on album of 2010

HELL RAZAH - HEAVEN RAZAH

'Word is this album's too deep for 'em.'

This album definitely did not get the recognition it deserved in 2010. The above line from 'Medical Kush' may just be the reason why.
'Heaven Razah' contains tracks touching the usual underground hip hop subjects of socio-political troubles amongst the poorer community alongside other issues however the difference is that on this album it is done with such eloquence and complexity not heard since Non-Phixion or the Jedi Mind Tricks album 'Sevants in Heaven Kings in Hell'.
Hell Razah makes many religious and spiritual references displaying a great understanding of these topics and proving he is obviously a very well read and studied person on the more 'intangible' points of life.
With regards to above, it should be noted that this album is in no way a flaky conscious-only project.
The beats go hard and are excellently crafted and as a member of Sunz of Man there is plenty of street and thug influence to balance the album.
Check out the below videos and if you have not already, I strongly recommend a purchase or at least a good few listens.

Bill Shakes - Smoked Out

Bill Shakes from Children of the Damned comes hard with this funky, drugged out banger produced by Reklews. Taken from the forthcoming solo album 'For Goodness Shakes'.

Stu Bangas & Vanderslice - Beats for Rap

Brutal Music is Vanderslice and Stu Bangas who have come out with a free instrumental project simply entitled "Beats for Rap". The album is particularly interesting as the samples used are highly original and creative producing some different and head banging beats.

HIP HOP IS DEAD.

Well it's not dead but cetainly not as alive as in the above video. I'd say it's more of a living-dead zombie type thing at the moment... Anyway the footage is from The Arsenio Hall Show circa 1994 featuring many of the heavy players of that era catching wreck over the classic Bob James Nautilus sample. Enjoy.
